Company Profile

My father, Eugene L. von Gohren, founded Fencing & Awning Company in 1956, and ran it successfully until 1978, at which point he decided to retire and turn the company over to me, Jeff R. von Gohren.

At the age of 15, I started to work for Dad in the summers and on my school breaks to earn extra money. I have had six years of experience in the shop and field, and since 1978, I have been running the business, along with my wife Carol, our company Vice President.

My daughter Jessica and her husband Josh will be the 3rd generation running this company. Jessica started working here in 1994 on her summer breaks from school. She is now our bookkeeper and personnel manager. Josh has been with us since 2001. He started as a field helper then quickly moved up into our shop as a welder. Now he is the general manager in charge of operations.

And our shop and field crews are all professionals with experience ranging from 3 to 38 years in the business.

As one of the oldest fence companies in Washington State, we try to give you the best assistance possible. At Fencing & Awning, Inc., we believe that you cannot sell from an empty barrel. And we firmly believe that YOU, the customer, are doing us a favor by buying your fence from us; we are not doing you a favor by selling it to you.

Because without valued customers such as yourself, we would not be here.
